I have to credit Mike for sending me this. Love the Stephen Colbert.

I finally managed to look through most of my Yosemite pics last night and there were some I took as we were moving into our new place. I’m loving all of the roses.

I’m a few weeks late with any comment on this, but it’s a much needed step towards equality for all.

My mom and I went on our yearly trip to Yosemite right after Mike and I moved into our new house. Unfortunately all of my many boxes were not magically unpacked when I got home, but we had a wonderful time in Yosemite, with perfect, beautiful weather in the 70’s the whole time.
Here are a few pictures until I get a chance to go through the hundreds that I took.
A river of yellow.

Not that I’ve been very good about blogging regularly, but I actually have a reason for not posting regularly - we’re moving!
Another beautiful weekend in San Diego! Sorry to rub in it, for those people who are having snow right now, like my aunt up in Medford, Oregon - The high there was 39 degrees yesterday! Oy.
I found some new growth on the rosemary bushes on a walk on Saturday. I used some it to flavor a butter sauce for some ravioli and I’m saving the rest for a bread recipe. It smells amazing.

Mike takes pictures of me everywhere we go and somehow I’m always either eating or drinking something.
A delicious latte at Cafe Italia -

It’s amazing how two months can pass since my last post! I’m still alive, just feeling quiet. I’ve noticed that a lot of people have mentioned the same sort of quiet, introspective period they’ve been experiencing since the new year.
In exciting news, I did finally finish my Masters in Holistic Nutrition! It feels fantastic to have that finished!
I’m also getting ready to sign up for another Italian class, this time at the Italian Community Center in San Diego, and a black and white photography class at UCSD. I can’t wait to get back in the darkroom!
I hope you’re all having a fabulous 2008 so far and promise to start updating more regularly. ![]()
This past weekend was one of those fabulous, relaxing, yet productive weekends.
Starting out with a homemade, delicious latte. I noticed the little heart design in the foam after I took the picture.

Happy 2008! Hard to believe that I don’t have my flying car yet!
We had a fun Christmas, with Mike’s family, including two nephews, who kept us entertained for hours. New Year’s Eve was nice and mellow at home with some wine, game playing, a big green hat and a pink feather boa were involved and watching the ball drop at midnight. I may sound old ladyish, but I prefer to leave the craziness of going out on New Years to everyone else and go out another night. It’s similar to Valentine’s Day for me. I get the sweet gestures, like flowers when I don’t expect them, or dinner out, so I don’t need to try and cram all of that meaning into one night. I’ve gotta say, it’s pretty nice.
